About Me

Greeting Parents and Student,

It is with a warm hello that I welcome you to the 2015-2016 school year. I am Mrs. Watts and look forward to teaching and working with your students this year.

I am from Atlanta, Georgia and I am also graduate from the DeKalb County School District. I attended Savannah State University, where I received my Bachelors of Arts, in History with a double minor in Sociology and African-American History in 2004. I attended Grand Canyon University where I received my Master’s Degree in special Education.

I have been at Briar Vista since 2005. I have matriculated as paraprofessional for both Montessori, Traditional and Special Education. I served as a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for one academic year. My current duties at Briar Vista have been in the capacity of Special Education Interrelated and Co- Teacher. Additionally, I serve as one of the Co-Directors for the After School Extended Day Program.

I will be working in conjunction with Ms. Baker as an additional teacher in the class. Your child will receive rigorous lessons and instruction in the learning environment. All children are unique and have different means of learning. My philosophy is that all children can learn and will learn. It is my charge to ensure that your child learns in a quality learning environment and exceed all learning expectations.
